Mehmet Ali Hatipoğlu
Istanbul based architect and urban planner, obtained both of his bachelor's degrees from Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He completed his master's degree in Architectural Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with a full scholarship.
From the beginning of his undergraduate studies, he worked on various projects and construction sites with his father, MSc. Architect Ahmet Sinan Hatipoğlu. In addition, he worked in urban planning, business development (expansion), urban design, architectural design, interior design, and construction supervision. He interned at ITU, CarrefourSA, Ömerler Architecture, Massimiliano Fuksas in Rome, and later worked at Progetto CMR Massimo Roj Architects in Milan and Geomim in Istanbul. While working as project architect at a construction and project management firm, he provided consultancy on various urban regeneration projects.
In 2016, after becoming the Turkey representative for Progetto CMR Massimo Roj Architects, he established his own architectural office Ahenk. He continues to live and work in Izmir, Karaburun, and Büyükada, Istanbul.
In addition to his architectural work, he produces olive oil. He is also involved in music and has composed music for short films; Baran, Hello Africa, and bi'avuç Hayal.
